About Darron
Darron D. Lockett is founder and CEO of Creative Excellence Group. He leads the firm’s strategic direction, growth, market development, and portfolio of commercial AI-enabled products and client solutions, including ResAction AI™.
Darron founded CEG in 2013 as a boutique management consulting firm helping organizations improve execution, efficiency, cost performance, and customer experience across healthcare technology, financial services, and manufacturing. After leading its early client engagements, he stepped away from active leadership at CEG to deepen his transformation leadership experience at Wells Fargo. He has now returned to lead CEG’s next chapter.
During more than eleven years at Wells Fargo, Darron led process excellence and transformation strategies across mortgage lending, commercial banking, and human resources. His work reshaped operating models, strengthened leadership accountability, accelerated decision-making, reduced risk, improved productivity, and introduced intelligent automation and emerging AI-enabled solutions. Earlier leadership roles at Bank of America, Sonoco, and Black & Decker spanned customer experience, risk management, manufacturing quality, supply chain management, and process design.
He began his career at Xerox as a product development engineer working across research, manufacturing, marketing, and supplier teams. His product-reliability work earned a corporate research and technology award and a U.S. patent used in commercial inkjet products. He also has two pending patent applications arising from innovations in Wells Fargo Home Lending processes.
Darron also serves as board chair of The WALL Foundation, a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit that advances scholarships, academic achievement, leadership development, workforce readiness, and financial capability for HBCU (Historically Black College or University) students and communities.
He holds a Doctor of Engineering degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where his applied research has included fair and explainable AI; master’s degrees in Applied Statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology and Physics from Clark Atlanta University; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics and Mathematics from Talladega College.
